***CBL updates *** MLB Trade Deadline updated roster set!
*** update ***
MLB Trade Deadline updated roster set! Hey gang, It’s here! ** Before download & play please remember to enable all cpu teams to make moves. They are turned off currently so I could update rosters ** Updated roster set as of 8/1 Includes: - Updated trades from 8/1 deadline - Updated contract extensions (ie Pablo Lopez) - Updated injuries - Calibrated prospects/MLB roster ratings & potentials. You will typically see highest prospects around 60-65 FV tier - Updated salary demand - Updated team financials - Updated team market sizes - Updated fan loyalty - Updated some personality traits (ie Aaron Judge to Captain, etc) - Updated Ohtani to have max salary demand, and max winning team. In game he wants $41M+ to extend with LA….will be interesting to see what transpires! Custom minors rules (30 man rosters AAA-A, 50 man rookie and DSL) - AAA no service time limits - AA no service time limits - A+ 5 years service time limit - A 4 years service time limit - DSL 4 years service time limit - Rookie 3 years service time limit - Injuries set to High/Realistic *** NEW *** - Players removed from their old 40 man team rosters (i.e. Chapman no longer on KC 40 man) Remember, scouting is enabled so true potentials may not display accurately. If you want to get a good feel of the ratings system, I’d suggest making a copy and turn scouting off. Hope everyone enjoys the final two months of the MLB season in OOTP!!! Please comment below any of your adventures with the file! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fgz...usp=share_link HP Last edited by CBLCardinals; 08-05-2023 at 12:32 PM. |

Also note….
The first day there may be some 40 man weirdness with players on old 40 man rosters that were traded. This should resolve itself after simming a day in the future. With OOTP live starts service time is off for some younger players/minor leaguers that have not played in the majors. I don’t know the quick solve for it, but did update a few as I ran across them. Minor league rosters are not 100% updated. Live starts miss some transactions. I tried to catch all of the ones that at least involved Majors players (releasing Hunter Dozier from KC, releasing Eric Hosmer from Chicago, etc) Last edited by CBLCardinals; 08-03-2023 at 11:53 PM. |

thanks for this.
How did you get it to recalculate the prospect rankings? I see you have the button there now, how did you turn this on. I see alot of settings I dont normally use on, having minimal ootp experience I'm fascinated by some of it as alot is new to me. I still don't understand what to look for in editor when seeing how good someone has been made either. |

Here is an example just from Seattle minor leagues - Of that list, only O'Keefe, Larson, Berroa have actually been in the majors (unless I missed some). All teams minor leaguers have probably 10-20 players like this. I'm not certain where Live start is tracking majors time or how? |

How do I start a game with these rosters? They look fantastic! I hated going through every league and setting roster limits to 30. Can't wait to check them out. As a Cardinals fan, I hope you weren't too mean to the Royals

I had to rename the files to something shorter, don’t forget the .lg extension. If there is a better way I am unaware as I haven’t done this before either. |

Hey gang!
I figured out a way to move off players from their old teams 40 man rosters (ie Chapman was still showing on KC 40 man???). I’ll update that file link above shortly. Next 30 minutes or less. HP |

New link below -
Again, this one has players removed from their old 40 man roster teams. I'll also place this in first post. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tw9...usp=share_link |

In the other thread I seen you noted that OOTP overrated catchers. I see Quero is much lower than IRL, if he was compensated for your finding will this affect his development or others as it relates to new catchers being introduced to the league?
Cant wait to see Chourio develop. The things he’s doing in minors the last 2 seasons is incredible. When they start mentioning names like Acuna, Soto and Tatis Jr its hard to hold back excitement. Saw Chourio and Quero in A+ last year a couple times, both just felt different. |

Quero I believe should be at least a 55 FV now on the set. He was at 50, and bumped him up a bit. And yes Chourio should be fun as he is a 65 FV, almost 70 in the set now! Future superstar!! |

Going to get started tonight, got to change settings to what I'm more used to. Can't wait to get Chourio, Miso, Quero, moving through system and working to develop Bitonti and Pratt for years to come. Appreciate the work! |

Is there a YouTube tutorial or a step-by-step for beginners? I can't find the saved game when moved to my Saved Games folder.

The WILD WILD WEST.
Who will come out on top of a competitive AL West?? Both Houston (Verlander) and Texas (Scherzer, Montgomery) added high power ammo to their rotations. Los Angeles added a lot of players.... any of them move the needle as Giolitto, Cron, Grichuk are all average-ish players. Can Trout and Ohtani carry this group on their backs and to the playoffs?? Seattle traded away high-leverage arm and closer Paul Sewald to Arizona, and received a collection of decent players. Rojas is upgrade from Wong (DFA) and Canzone destroyed AAA and can hit. Brash looks like a legit beast mode in bullpen and should be able to cover Sewald innings. Can they jump anyone else above them?? And Oakland..... well they are battling it out with the Kansas City Royals for worst record in baseball. Fan support is rock bottom. Ownership has alienated fans. Cant blame them for not showing up! |
