Negotiate Extension

Received a PM from a player stating he would like to stay with his current team and wants to negotiate an extension. I click on the player to negotiate an extension and he says he does not want to talk about an extension because he and the manager's personality clash.

Is this a bug?

The player asked for the extension in an email, yet will not talk about an extension when you go to negotiate...firing the manager to keep a middle reliever is not the answer...sounds like a flaw and that was my question.

The player is telling you what he wants.
He must really hate your manager LOL.
I wonder what his personality traits are.

I feel like the player shouldn't send you a message saying he wants to negotiate an extension if he is unwilling to consider an extension with your team as currently constructed.
