Player not playing in set Position

In my perfect team, I have Hugh Duffy set in LF and Duke Snider in CF, however for the past two seasons Hugh Duffy is starting at CF for 99 games last season and 108 games this season.

I do not have Hugh Duffy set up as either utility backup for CF so why does he continue to start at CF for over half the games and Duke Snider is benched?

Force start Duffy in left field.
