Game freezes when I try to advance a day

Fictional sim is at May 18, 1975. No problems before now. But now I can't advance to the next day, or any day in the future, without the game freezing/crashing. I've tried rebooting, etc. Still stuck on May 18.

I'm playing on a PC running Windows 11. Game purchased via Steam. This problem has also happened in my non-fictional MLB save but it resolved after rebooting.

Update: I read my tracemode file and saw that the last recorded event before the game crashed was "handle_league_trades." So I opened the game and deleted a pending trade I had proposed. Voila! Problem solved. I am able to advance the game date.

On the other hand, this seems to reveal a bug in the new "hard mode" for trading, which I had turned on, in that a pending trade offer caused the game to crash.
