1918-19 schedule glitch?
The season began on 4th October 1918.
I was slightly surprised to get a trade deadline warning message after only 2 games! It appears the entire schedule has been compressed into about a month in October/November. The PCHA is similarly scheduled. For context, the 1917-18 NHL season ran from December to March, as did 1918-19 Edit : I've not done any expansion, other than scheduling an expansion draft on July 2nd 1918 for the Victoria Aristocrats in the PCHA. I have the 'Teams disappear when they did historically" option turned off, so the Montreal Wanderers still exist in 1918-19. Last edited by Castleview; 06-23-2023 at 04:51 AM. |

Yeah, having that option on would force schedule regeneration. Sounds like the start date is set too soon for the early seasons rather than using the real mid-December start, we'll have a look at that for 10.

It's showing the same scheduled dates for 1919-20, with season starting on
4th October, and trade deadline on 13th October. I'll try generating a new schedule on 1st July and see if it makes any difference. |

After completing the playoffs in November, the Stanley Cup event between NHL and PCHA was still scheduled for March 30th 1919. However when that date arrived the Cup games failed to take place. I'm not sure if that is intentional as per what actually happened historically, or is a result of the
previous scheduling issues. |
