Anyone else getting extremely slow loading forum?

It takes 10-30 seconds to change screens in OOTP.

I have no problem navigating on any other websites.

Why so slow?

The last few weeks the forums have been SLOW. Today I have to wait almost 30 seconds before opening a page. Everything else on my PC is fine, it's only the OOTP forums...

From time to time these boards have had some slow downs. They have been fixed soon after being reported. It's been awhile since I've seen the issue but, for me, the boards are loading at a snail's pace. Many times waiting 30-40 seconds or more for a topic to open.

All other forums I visit are loading at their normal fast speeds. Only OOTP forums where I'm having problems.

edit: took 18 seconds for this thread to post. Also took 18 seconds from the time I hit "edit" to open the thread to do the edit.

The team rebooted something, so hopefully it's better now.

Same problem. I even checked my download speed, just to be sure. I would like to think it is unprecedented heavy traffic on the forums, but I don’t think that is to blame. I’m hoping it’s a server problem that can be fixed. Probably hardware, and not software?

Seems a bit better today, but at times yesterday navigating the boards was really slow. As mentioned above, best guess is server issues. Wonder if it had to do with the patch release

5:45pm EDT - Still terrible forum response.

If this helps at all, it seems like the more I move around in the forums, the better it gets - but if I close the forums and start over it crawls again. Sounds to me like an indexing problem(?)

With the reset I'm getting times where it works as normal and flies along. Then
it stalls again. This is all in the same visit. IE right now normal speed comes and goes, before the reset it was never normal.

Edit: When I wrote this post and hit preview it came up instantly. When I tried to post? It took 26 seconds.
