Tips for saving memory?
When playing OOTP Go, I regularly get a popup message when I try to play a match about a lack of memory on my device. Basically it won’t let me play a match, I think because the memory demands of the 3D match engine risks the game crashing. It’s a bit frustrating because I only want to sim the games themselves, not play them out as the manager, but I can’t see any way of turning the 3D off.
It’s not stopping me play entirely - when it happens I just have to exit the game, close the app, then reopen it again. Then it works fine. But it’s a bit annoying to have to repeatedly keep doing this every few matches to get the game to work. Does anyone have any tips for dealing with this (or know if you can turn the 3D off)? I have an iPad 9th generation that’s a little over a year old and don’t play with any other apps running at the same time. I’ve never had any kind of crash with any other app, so I don’t think the issue is my device. Many thanks!

I had the same problem. What I did was: go into settings and under interface I turned off “Use out of memory protection”. It seems to work. I do hit save after each game as the only crashes I seem to have periodically is advancing the day. As you mention I also run go with no other apps open. I am playing on an 8th gen iPad Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yep like they mentioned, you can just turn it off in the settings. The way this system works is basically we exit the 3d when the OS tells us it's running out of allocated memory. However I think it's pretty conservative on iOS. If you tone down the audience settings (like use simplified audiences), it will probably never crash during 3d do to memory. I also think that it automatically saves when you finish a 3d game so no need to manually save it
