Cant figure out game ratings

Hi

I'm new to FHM - playing since a few month, but absolutely loving it.

I have great difficulty finding out the game rating though.

I have several players in my team who perform incredibly well, but they have much worse OR/DR/GR compared to the computer-controlled teams.
I know that they base the ratings on the roles assigned to the players and how they perform compared to them, but I can do whatever I want, I can't get the ratings of these players higher. Does anyone have any tips on how I could improve the ratings of the players? How do tactics, player specific roles, etc. affect the rating?
