I'm not sure what you are trying to say here.
The patches for OOTP5 are simply a new .exe file. To install unzip the patch into your OOTP5 folder and overwrite the old OOTP5.exe file. At this point you can start OOTP5 and be running the newly patched version of the game. Hope this helps. |

5.10 Patch
When I unzipped it my OOTP5 started without any prompting from me. It is now running at a snail's pace and I am losing a ton of players. They are being replaced by a square and a period and their rating is one blue star.

Something weird seems to have gone on here. It's shouldn't have done that.
What exactly did you try when you were installing the patch. Be as detailed as you can be and hopefully we can figure this out for you. |

What operating system are you running? I've had weird stuff like that happen with ZIP files while running non-MS systems (albeit not with OOTP).

I'm using Win98.
I downloaded the zip into my main OOTP file and then unzipped from there. As I clicked on the wizard to open it my OOTP just loaded. Not being very computer savvy is really starting to catch up with me now. |
