Starting new GTOP tournament

I like to create large elimination tournaments with the Great Teams Of The Past. How do I make sure that I can be the manager for BOTH teams in all the games, choosing all aspects of offense & defense & pitching throughout the entire tournament and ensure that the entire remaining round is NOT auto played ?
What do I need to do before STARTING PLAY in the first game of the tournament games to finalize that?

Hey GamerBob,

So to do that there are a 2 things we need to do.

1-When you start the first game of the day for the tournament you should be taken to the 3D setup screen where both lineups are presented and some gameplay settings are listed. There you should be able to change the control of both teams to be you. So you can then have full control over both clubs even if you're not managing as one of the teams. Now you do need to be in commissioner mode to do this so make sure you're not in challenge mode which will prevent turning on commissioner mode.

2-After you set yourself as the controller for both teams you will need to change the last gameplay settings which is the Simulate World in Background setting. You will want to change that to Yes (Disable Baseball News Network)

That will let you control both playing teams and not have other games play in the background.
