Wisconsin State High School League Quickstart

Hello Everyone,

Someone on Reddit suggested that I post a quickstart of my fictional league(s) here on the forum in case anyone else was interested in trying it for themselves. So, here it is. Introducing the Wisconsin State High School League (WSHSL).

The backstory in my mind is that this takes place within an alternate world where hockey has essentially replaced basketball in high schools in Wisconsin, leading to nearly every high school having a hockey rink and team. I started with 90 teams, but decided that wasn't enough so I pushed further than that.

I have sifted through the Wisconsin Interscholastic Atheltic Association website and found 270 wisconsin high schools (based on a list of schools that have basketball teams) and spread them out between 3 leagues based on enrollment size. I hunted and found all of their official school logos (with a few exceptions, I changed a few I didn't like) and resized them all for the game. I went through every single team and changed their jersey colours to match their logos (though I think I missed a few), and changed every teams location to the closest available location in-game, and renamed and re-located each teams arena.

I also went through and selected rivals for a good portion of teams. All of this was an incredibly labourious process and took a few days to get to this point, but I can probably say its finished. Later on i might add Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois, all with 270 teams for them too but, that's for a later date.

Note: This plays just like a normal junior league in the game. Minimum age is 14, max is 18 but some players do play until 19 or 20, don't know how to fix that. Players still have a salary, I just pretend that's the travel expenses and whatnot.
