Infield in seems to work 95% of the time.

With bases loaded and infield in I almost always hit into the out at home. And sometimes the double play at first too. The problem as I see it, is not enough flyballs, or hits. And the groundballs are hit right at the infielder and hardly ever go through the infield. It's almost like putting the infield in changes the outcome of the at-bat. There are way fewer line drives or flyballs than in any other game situation.

I'm seeing about a 50/50 split here. Just finished a playoff game with a 1-run lead, bases loaded, bottom of the 9th. A hit through the infield cost me the game! Still alive though, series tied at 3.

Not my experience. I've seen a mix of outcomes 45 games into my current season.

I've had bad streaks of "dice rolls", in the past, and yes, it did stick in my mind.
But, like other streaks, they tend to even out.

In my experience playing the infield in is a trade-off, as IRL, as it should be. You’ll cut off runs at the plate, and occasionally get a DP. I have seen that. But there have also been base hits those fielders could have reached in their normal positions. Of course, if you are playing the infield in, you don’t care about base hits.

I would say mine runs closer to the 90-95 percent success for my opponent. Left hoping the catcher does not double up tmy batter running to first.

To clarify it is happening with my team at bat. The other day I had runners on 2nd and 3rd one out, infield in GB to shortstop, runner out at home. Why was he even going with a ground ball too short I will never know.!

Having just played a game where I watched the opposition get three singles against me with infield in I have to chalk this up to small sample size and disagree lol

There are situations - like second and third, runners not forced - where I wish as manager I had the option of telling the runner on third to go on contact or play it safe. Or even a pop-up screen after the ground ball is hit, asking me to choose whether to run or not. If the defense is playing in, I would be less likely to say go on contact. Unless i had a lightning-fast runner on 3B.
