Statement Regarding the Unexpected Finish of Some Leagues 4/21

(I apologize for the lateness of this note; I was busy this evening with other things)

Due to a technical error during testing on our backend, some PT leagues have unexpectedly finished for the current season. Unfortunately, there is nothing we are able to do about this error, and we apologize for the mishap. We are taking steps to ensure it will not happen again in the future.

This is also the reason why you may have seen a 250-plus day countdown timer briefly earlier today; this was so we could figure out what happened prior to sims of other unaffected leagues resuming.

Good afternoon,

As compensation for the technical error from last week with some Perfect Team leagues unexpectedly finishing early, we have given the teams and accounts affected by this error 7 free days of PT+. Those affected who already subscribed to PT+ will have the seven days added to their accounts. We thank you for your understanding regarding this error, and again, we have taken steps to ensure it will not happen again in the future.

Since the issues, whenever I start up OOTP24, I get the message that my version is configured to connect to the preview server instead of the live server.

How can I change it to connect to the live server?

That probably means you're signed up for betas through Steam, and you'd need to get off of that to do so. I think. I'll alert the devs to this question and see if they can help.

It was fine before the server issues the other week, so something somewhere went kaflooey.

I've been alerted that the only way you could be connected to the preview server is through a beta track through Steam. So, if you want to get off of that and back to the live server, you'll need to opt out of betas for the game through Steam.

Go to the Game properties through steam, and under "Betas," switch to "None." You'll probably have to restart Steam, but that should be good after.

Thanks. All good now. I know I deselected the beta once 24 went live. Somehow, it got selected again. Gremlins perhaps.

Steam has a habit of randomly opting you in and out of betas.
