Game slows down immensely after a few months of sim
Hello,
For reference I have a an amd 5600x cpu / ssd and 16 gb of ddr-4 3200 memory. By the time I get to June or July In a fresh league (All settings default) the game begins to slow to a crawl. Mainly my cursor, for example when I’m in my roster screen trying to drag a player who cleared waivers to the bottom edge to release him, has noticeable lag and the problem seems to get worse and worse. If I exit and reload the game it starts out good again but then inevitably slows again. Last edited by lionbacker; 04-17-2023 at 04:07 PM. |

You can try changing the resolution in game settings rather than closing and reopening. That will usually fix it for a few months.

Help! I have the same problem. I don't think it has anything to do with in-game advancement. Loading fresh save and it starts good, but after a while a noticeable interface lag occurs. Reloading the game it starts good and after a while it lags again.

I have an i7-8700k, Samsung 960 Pro NVMe PCIe M.2 512GB, RTX 3080-TI, Corsair CMR16GX4M2C3466C16 4x8GB, on Win 10. First monitor was 4K @ 60hz, this second one is Gsync compatible, but don't think there's any diff there (except it seems to degrade faster if I set it to unlimited frames in the game instead of, say, 60). There is a way to reset this lag -- go into the main "Settings" page & you don't even have to change anything, just click "OK" ... this will "reset" things to how smooth it was when you first loaded the game & then it'll slowly degrade again from there. & related to up above; I've noticed that the higher the settings I use (such as 16x Anisotropic filter), the quicker it degrades. Using the NVIDIA control panel to override application's anisotropic settings & setting this to disabled in game, results in the game being smoother for a longer period of time. |
