Closer by committee

How would you set up your closer by committee? If you have 3 "closers", do you make the closers or middle relief with closer as a secondary role?

With seven RP I do two closers with secondary high leverage followed by two high leverage secondary closer.

Every time I've had a deep "super pen" plan I want to put in place at the beginning of any season, it completely blows up in my face. I will always set up this option if the prior season, I was in a pennant race and acquired another one for the stretch run that had another year or more on his deal, or was leverage to let my incumbent closer walk. My super pen would consist of Closer 1 (the incumbent) and Closer 2 (acquiree), or if I wanted to use a multi-inning closer of the two (who'd come in at any point in the eighth), and the other only used to start the ninth. With either in place, the 7th inning guy would primarily be the righty from a righty/lefty split setup, or the previous 8th inning guy. If I had a 7th inning guy from pre-trade he'd be a multi-innings setup reliever. This would always fail for me.

And my apologies if it seems like I'm hijacking this thread on the super pen topic.

This is usually how I end up in a closer-by-committee approach. Either the original incoming closer I've had reclaims the role solely, or a promising rookie ends up in the role.

I'm from Boston and just mentioning closer by committee will have people jumping off the Hancock tower.

The problem wasn't the bullpen; it was that Grady misused the bullpen (and in Game 7, tried to not use it at all).
