Warning Historical DB Not Found in Path

I Just installed OOTP 24. This will now be the Third version in a row where I have failed but I want to "use random rookies from all eras". This year I do see the message in red: Warning: DB Path not found - using E:Steamlibrary\steamapps\common\Out of the Park Baseball 24\data\stats

When I go to that location it appears to me that the DB files are there:

When you see 'Warning: DB Path not found' is that just in the settings?

I think there's a weird bug there that says that even when it's not true sometimes.

If you try to import a player manually, or get to the end of the season where the game imports the rookie class, does that actually work?

If so, you can just ignore the message in the settings.

I have found the way to make that error message go away. My league still refuses to import historical rookies from all eras. I wonder if my historical database is corrupt. I attempted your suggestion and tried to import a player manually. I have never tried that before so I watched a video and this is what I tried: League-Transaction-Free Agents-Import/Export-Import-Import Free Agents- (This tries to default to my D: Drive which is where my documents folder is located) (I redirect it to my E: Drive to the path I linked above ) Drives\E\SteamLibrary\Steamapps\common\outofthepar k baseball24\stats and then if I try to click on historical_database.odb and import ..... BAM crash to desktop every time

But I must be doing something wrong because it is trying to import the historical_Database.odb and not giving me the popup to select a specific player
Do I need to start the league in historical mode not in fantasy? Will it unpack the odb into a csv?

From the very first ootp screen I can run a exhibition game between the 27 Yankees and the 79 Cubs and it finds the historical players just fine.

I must have confused a directory in my league settings?
