OOTP 24 patch (version 24.1.42) available!

Important: This patch is only for OOTP 24 versions which were purchased directly from us or resellers who use our version. It is also available via the Steam client now and the Epic Store client soon.
It is NOT compatible with the Mac OSX AppStore version!

Hi everybody!

We have spent the past couple of days monitoring feedback and working hard on the game, and here is the first official patch (yes, on a Sunday!) version 24.1.42.

Changelist (24.1.42):
Fixed in-game black screen issues, invisible fielders, crashes
Adjusted projected role for some SP
Fixed Respond to Message for expired trades
Fixed Historical DH in 2022 games
Fixed historical game default to recalculate ratings ON
Fixed errors calculation in early historical games
Fixed some roster AI issues
Fixed bug when trading international bonus pool for draft picks
Fixed coloring of control buttons in 3D game mode if controlling the away team
Fixed KBO licensed players who were incorrectly flagged as unlicensed
PT: Fixed missing scrollbar on missions list
Several other small bug fixes

This patch is compatible with the previous version for online leagues - exports will work between versions.

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Updates always contain all the changes from previous updates. Saved games are compatible between different versions.

...am getting ~500kb/s download speed. (my service gets 100MB/s)

Stop it and re-start it. I downloaded it with 40+ MB per second...

It's fine on our end. This is likely an issue with your local cdn. If you use a VPN to connect to another area, that might help.

First few tries I also had the drip drip drip slow speed.

Waited a few minutes tried again and zoom, download of the patch took less than 2 minutes

when i try to open my save, it says i'm trying to open a version an earlier version of ootp. any idea why?

edit: it specifically tells me to open the save with the 23 importer. but when i try that, it says it was saved in a version called OOTP-1.

I have downloaded the new patch but it still says i am on build 39 when i open the game. Not sure how to make sure i have added the new patch? Would ppreciate any help.

For a PC, Fastspring download, select the PC Installer from the Main Server. It will download an ootpsetup.exe file. Double click this after it downloads and it will walk through the setup wizard. Complete the wizard and the update will install. At the bottom of the start-up screen of OOTP it will now say v.42.

If you are on Steam, be patient because unless you manually disabled updates, it will push through on its own, I believe. It is an automated process but takes a little longer to hit users versus the user directly downloading and installing the Fastspring version.

Hello - I've just purchased OOTP 24 from the app store on my iMac - the instructions indicate this patch is not available to those purchasers - "It is NOT compatible with the Mac OSX AppStore version!" - so how does a customer who purchased OOTP24 from the app store on an iMac install this patch?

When it's approved by Apple, you will get a notification the the app store center and you install from there.

That sounds like your saved game is corrupted. Maybe your HD ran out of space?
