Question I started a fictional league starting with the Midwest US and slowly branching out...what now?

At this point I have the Midwest Baseball League (the league whose team I manage) and a couple other regional leagues. Each of them have 2 conferences with 4 divisions and 3 teams each. I do have all of them set up in the same association with playoffs, but they're really just two or three series at the end of each regional championship, and I don't wanna waste too much memory/CPU on leagues in which I'll barely be a part of.

How can I immerse myself more in the leagues in which I don't manage? I'm gonna give a shot at the shared amateur draft in the association, though the number of teams seems like it could be overwhelming. Maybe reducing the "regular season" and expanding the association playoffs would help as well?

Bonus question: For some reason my league (the MBL) attracts higher quality players than the other leagues. I tried to fix the financials to be as similar as possible, but for some reason I still see way fewer 80-grade players in theirs as in mine.

This is my first real fictional league so I'm open to ideas!
