Problem with New Int Amateur FA System

I imported an OOTP23 fictional league into OOTP24. The year of the league wass 1946 and the old IAFA option was turned off at time of import. After import, turning on the new IAFA options only works if done while the year is 1946. If I wait to turn it on in 1947 or later, the default signing start date still says 1946 and changing it to a later year causes it to appear on the league events, but the game skips the production of IAFAs on the showcase date and bumps the IAFA showcase and signing start events to the next calendar year perpetually so the feature never kicks in.

Ok I've made some changes that I hope should help in the next patch. If you still see the issue can you let me know a couple things;
1) When is the current date of your game when you import it
2) What is the date of your game when you change the setting (i.e. are you in the preseason, offseason, etc.?)

This remains unfixed in the new Beta (build 38). I import the game (Jun 28th, 1946 is the game date on import), sim to 1 January 1947, turn on the new IAFA system, sim to the showcase date (when the game gets to the showcase date it doesn't stop but bumps the showcase to the following year and keeps simming) and things go wrong as mentioned in my first post. Would share the league but I'm on Mac and the league sharing instructions are too onerous for me.

If you start a new game, do you still see this? Or is it only on a save you started prior to patch 38?

Yes, I get the same problem if I start a new league in OOTP24. I started a fictional league in 1946. I then Immediately turned off the IAFA feature. Then I simmed to 1 Jan 1947 and on that date turned the IAFA feature on and changed the showcase date to August 15 from the default. Then I told the game to autoplay to the showcase date. When the game reaches the showcase date it does not stop, but pushes the IAFA showcase and signing date to 1948. In 1948 it pushes it to 1949, perpetually, never actually generating IAFAs. If I don't change the default date when turning on the IAFA feature, it works in both the imported and newly created game: both fictional leagues.

I have noticed that the showcase date is 3 months before IAFA signing begins. With both the imported OOTP23 league and the new OOTP24 league, the feature DOES work properly if I turn it on and set the signing start date to be less than 3 months from the game date at the time the feature is turned on (which is also the default situation); in this scenario, the showcase is scheduled for the next game day and all works well. If the signing date is set for more than 3 months in the future, the bug appears for both imported and newly created games.

This should be easy to replicate at your end. I have no knowledge of how the game works under the hood, but the problem seems to me to be the game not recognizing the showcase date if it is set to be more than 3 months in the future (and delayed IAFA player creation is necessary).

I'll also add that both the imported league and the newly generated league are fictional and set to play 100 game seasons with a season start date of May 15th, followed by a playoff consisting of nothing but a 9 game World Series. These dates might be relevant to you given the failure of the game to acknowledge the IAFA signing start date as described above. And note that the game DOES add both events to the league events calendar where they remain until the showcase date is reached and both events are bumped exactly 1 year into the future.

I hope this helps. This is a great game and this year's iteration is just magnificent. I have played since the very first iteration and have a great appreciation of and affection for the game and everyone who builds and supports it.
