Exclamation Switching my game saves to my other drive

Hello all. I was just wondering how I would change my save games and backups to my other drive on my computer instead of my hard disk for space purposes. My ootp docs automatically go to my documents section in my hard rive on the computer and my save games and backups are on the Out of the Park Developments folder in my documents. I have a 1 TB drive on my pc that is not being used and would like to know how to that and also so my saves don't overload my hard drive space. Please can anyone help? I can post screenshots if need be.

I don't install to the default location because I have more than one hard drive and I don't want to fill up my C: Drive. I think the default installation also uses the "my documents" as the location for saved games. My Documents is also on your C: Drive (filling it up even more). You can install the game to the "user defined location' on your 1TB drive. You'd have to reinstall the game plus copy all data files from My Documents to the new location. Copy first. Verify the game works. Then delete the old saved data if you want or keep as a backup.
You can define a new location for saved files from within the game. Go to Settings/Expert/Custom data path. The game will still reside on your C: Drive. I've never done this, so maybe someone else can give advice. I know DOS/Windows well so I can do this manually. If you are inexperienced this may be the best option. Can't hurt to make a backup of your saved game first. It's always best to be safe. For OOTP24 use the first option.

You can set a custom data path for all of your OOTP data, including saved games, backups, ballparks, logos, jerseys, etc. This allows you to place all of your core OOTP data and files in your preferred directory and even sync files between devices using a service such as Dropbox. Here is how to set the new path and then move all of your existing data to this new location:

1. Go to your File menu in OOTP and choose Settings.
2. Choose the Expert tab and use the custom data path option. It's the first option on the list.
3. Set your data path to your preferred directory on another drive or to a Dropbox folder.
4. Find your current OOTP data files. They are typically stored in the "data" subfolder within your OOTP Baseball 2023 installation, but the path to that data folder depends on where you installed the game. You can use the game's Troubleshooting option to find the path if needed (see the video link below).
5. Move all of your current data files into your new custom data path directory.
6. Close and relaunch OOTP. Now the game should be using your new custom data path, and it will access your current and all future data files from this new folder.

If you need any help with these steps, this section of OOTP's official video on Setting a Custom Data Path can walk you through the process.
