Seventh Inning Stretch League (SISL) has openings!

Hey OOTPers, SISL is gearing up for the 2027 season and has some openings. We just wrapped up 2026 and the Pittsburgh Pirates had an improbable run to win the WS (yep you read that right!)

For context, we started a new OOTP 24 reboot of this league (new name) so 10 GMs decided they did not want to manage 2 teams. This has created the GM openings you see in this league.

AL EAST:

Boston Red Sox:: Rebuild/Retool needed, but Marcelo Mayer, Triston Casas, and Nick Yorke are leading the new look Red Sox. Devers is still here as the wily veteran at 30 years old! The Red Sox also boast the 3rd ranked farm system

AL CENTRAL:

Chicago White Sox: The White Sox have Gunnar Henderson, CJ Abrams, Jordan Walker, Heston Kjerstad, and a ton more talent over the diamond. They finished the season in 2nd place at 92-70 and can easily over take the AL Central!

Cleveland Guardians: The Guardians need some TLC. Finished 4th in the AL Central at 81-81, but a rebuild is likely needed. Brayan Rocchio is manning 2B and doing what he can. Some interesting prospects and there are some pieces you can certainly flip.

AL WEST:

Seattle Mariners: Julio Rodriguez...what else is there to say. JRod and Noelvi Marte led the Mariners to a game 163 on their road to the playoffs. Finished in 2nd just a game behind the Rangers in the AL West.

Houston Astros: Finished 3rd in the AL West but Air Yordan is still hitting BOMBS down in Houston. Andrew Painter and Carlos Rodon make for a solid 1-2 punch in the rotation to build off of.

Los Angeles Angels: Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani are still doing their thing for the Angels. Might be time to move off of them though? Finished 4th in the AL West. I guess it's kinda like real life, right?!

NL EAST:

Miami Marlins: Might need a bit of retooling. Jazz Chisholm, JJ Bleday, and Elijah Green are the mainstays in the lineup while Sandy Alcantara and Eury Perez sit atop the rotation. The Marlins won 99 games on their way to a 1st place finish in the NL East!

NL CENTRAL:

Chicago Cubs: Well the Cubbies have seen better days, but this is a chance to restore them to the glory days of...uhh.. 2016. The Cubs finished 11 games out of first place, which means some retooling could propel them up the standings. Oh, I should mention the Cubs also finished last in an objectively weak (not being a hater!) weak NL Central with a 72-90 record.

St. Louis Cardinals: The Red Birds have also seen better days. They still have Goldy, Arenado, and Nolan Gorman making things happen in that lineup. STL has the 9th ranked farm team with the 5th best prospect who looks like a future ace. Dealer's choice here as the Cards finished 4th in the division - rebuild or retool - ready to gamble?

NL WEST:

Los Angeles Dodgers: The Dodgers have the usual suspects such as Walker Buehler, Julio Urias, Clayton Kershaw, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Will Smith, Gavin Lux, Trea Turner (still here) and... AARON JUDGE??! This team should easily compete, but hit a few snags last season. Come bring them back to the top of the Wild Wild West!
