error in series format

In historical game ,2 Teams, (NHL 1919) / 3 Teams, Bye for 1 (NHL 1925) when I select one of the following choices, in best of 3 series I get a series in total points, for the season 1917, 1919, 1920, 1921, 1922, 1923.

It looks like it's working properly in the actual 1925-26 season, but something's going wrong when it's applied to other leagues. We'll try to see what the problem is.

I have carried out the exercise of simulating each of the series of the two leagues of 1917-1925 here are my conclusions.

NHL
2 Teams (NHL 1919): best of 3 series, gives a total goals series for 1917, 1920, 1921, 1922, 1923.

3 Teams, Bye for 1 (NHL 1925): best of 3 series, both semifinal and final series give total goals series for 1925.

3 Teams, Bye for 1 (NHL 1925): best of 3 series, semifinal series for 1917, 1919, 1920, 1921, 1922, 1923, 1924 gives a series total goals.

PCHA/WCHL
Conferences are not considered for the seasons 1921, 1922, 1923.

4 Teams, 2 per Conf (WCHL 1921): For 1922 and 1923 there are no series in all formats.

2 Teams (NHL 1919): best of 3, 1917, 1918, 1919, 1920, gives series in total goals.

4 Teams, 2 per Conf (WCHL 1921): best of 3, 1921, gives series in total goals.

3 Teams, Bye for 1 (NHL 1925): best of 3, 1924,1925, gives series to total goals.

in conclusion the best of 3 of both leagues (NHL and PCHA/WCHL) seems to be a problem, and 1921, 1922, 1923 PCHA/WCHL conferences are not taken.
