Players stuck on international duty - historical league

Hello! I have several players that are stuck on international duty after the international tournament has ended in my historical league. My regular season is about to start. I have tried retiring & unretiring to get them off but then it's like the game doesn't recognize the players anymore - they are on my roster and off ID but I can't dress them. The option to dress is still greyed out. I tried switching out of commisioner mode and went back to an earlier save. I was wondering if you could take a look to see if there is any solution to this problem? I have uploaded a save file: Sabres yr 36 rs1

It looks like something went badly wrong with the 04 World Cup; it doesn't seem to have completed properly and a lot of the data's apparently missing, which probably explains why the lineup status of those players is broken even if you retire them to get rid of the INT status. This one will need some investigation, I'll see if we can fix it for you.

Thanks for checking. I did have problems with the game crashing randomly during that World Cup. I eventually (seemed) to get past it crash free and then the ID issue happened.

I'm assuming this issue probably isn't fixable which I understand. I wanted to let you know the same thing happened with my current day (default game) franchise during 2024 (i think it's the Olympics).
