No generic league for Kazakhstan

Not really a bug, just a very trivial annoyance.

It doesn't really matter as Kazak players just get randomly assigned to other generic leagues, however it's odd that countries with considerably fewer players like Estonia, Lithuania & Serbia have their own leagues, while Kazakhstan doesn't. In reality most of them would play in Kazakhstan or Russia.

Could this be because Kazakhstan falls under the KHL structure, and the KHL is primarily tied to Russia? Or does that maybe not make sense because the Kazak players aren't uniformly assigned to Russian generic leagues? I'm just throwing stuff against the wall and seeing what sticks.

They do have their own leagues, but it's likely that anyone who is any good will probably end up in Russian leagues (or KHL). FHM seems to just randomly assign them to one of the other European leagues, which would be less likely in real life, though not impossible.

I suppose they could assign players to teams in that league, but it's probably simpler to just add a generic Kazak league.

Yeah, I'm not following you, there are multiple nonplayable Kazakh leagues in the game, and looking at a long-term save the Kazakh players are mostly where they should be.

I do see a couple of small issues with too many good Kazakh players in their second-level league, I'm making some changes in the update that should fix that.

And there are too many non-Kazakh/Russian players in the top league. Alessandro, EP has the league player nationalities at about 95-98% from those two places for the last year, so I think I'm going to change the foreigner limit from 6 to 1 to reflect the de facto league makeup unless you can think of a reason not to. If we ever make it playable, we can find a better way to handle it, but doing it that way will give us realistic results from the nonplayable league.

Sorry should have clarified, I'm looking at an historical game (2007 start) and European players aged 16 to 18. At the start of the game their 'Current Team' and 'Contracted To' fields are usually their national team, though can also be generic US College or Canadian Junior.(OHL, WHL etc...)

Those fields have a drop down menu with a list of generic European Leagues, but Kazakhstan is not on that list. Countries with fewer national players like Estonia & Serbia are on the list and Japan is listed also.
Kazak players are then randomly assigned to one of the other leagues to begin with.

Ah, the historical team. Yeah, that's missing now, I'll add it. May not be in this update, though, I need a little more lead time to add teams to historical.
