Help Loading a Game

I was invited to join a league this year and excited to play. However, I am struggling to get the new starter league file loaded into the game on my MAC.

I was told to unzip the file into the saved_games folder in your OOTP23 folder, start up OOTP23, and you'll be able to load the league and log in. But haven't had any luck doing that. Can someone help a layman like myself?

Not a mac user but sometimes I unzip to an empty folder on my desktop.

Then I copy and paste the folder with the 'lg.' extension to:

ootp 23/saved_games/
