Disappearing trade deadline and automatically promoting players

I have an reaccuring issue with this game

I play NHL with Blackhawks and in my 4th season now.

The problem is that the trade deadline disappears every season about midway in February. I have set the trade deadline on in the options and the trade deadling appears on the Play menu earlier during the season, but it just disappears at some point. So in order to keep the teams from trading and totally screwing it up i have to set the trade value to 0.

The other issue is that there are players constantly automatically promoting from AHL. About once a month 5-7 players promote without me doing anything.

It just keeps getting more and more frustrating, is there a fix for this ? I play on Steam.

Also why isn't there an option to modify the Finnish leagues ?

I think we'll need to see that save to figure out exactly what's going wrong, particularly with the odd callups. Uploading instructions are here.


The Finnish leagues, like a lot of the European leagues, require special hardcoding to make things like pre-playoffs and promotion/relegation work, so editing is disabled because it'd be easy to do things that'd break the extra coding, with unpleasant results. We may open them up to limited editing at some point to allow things like roster rules to be changed, but I'm not sure when we'll be doing that.

Playing with atleast Finnish leagues is frustrating. It would be nice to even be able to edit on how many goals there are per game. I stopped Mestis at 10 games (and probably will never return to) because it was unrealistic. All scores are football scores 1-0,2-1,2-3 etc, team had scored 15 goals in 10 games an highest scores had like 5 points. Can't remember if there was this issue in other versions of the game.

I get a normal trade deadline when I play that save forward to March; it stays on the Event list right up until the day of the deadline. If you try continuing it, does it happen again in 2028-29? If so, please upload the save at the earliest point you see it gone from the events, that may give us some idea of what's happening.

Regarding the callups, had you used the "AI Setup Organization" option in the roster screen at some point? That may result in players being called up. The only other reason for the AI doing that would trying to resolve a cap problem, but you don't seem to be close to the cap limit, and weren't on the couple of times in the previous season that I can see 3-4 players being called up.

Was the Mestis scoring with the league playing in 2D or classic mode? Looking in this save (with it in classic), it's about where it should be, but maybe I need to take a look at the lower-level league scoring in 2D mode.

I started a new game with Carolina, after getting frustrated with the number of bugs in Euro leagues.

I got into my 2nd season after the 1st season went well, but in february of the 2nd season the trade deadline disappeared AGAIN and the auto promotion of AHL players started again.

If i once again upload a save from the date i noticed the problem can you take look ? This is a huge let down in the game and i'm getting a bit tired of this
