Can't load any save files

I recently had my game crash, and when I relaunched and attempted to reload the save, I'm unable to do so. I can select my save from the list of save files (or hit Continue Game), and it looks like the save loads nearly all the way before crashing to the desktop. The same thing happens when I try to load other save files. In case it's relevant, the initial crash happened when I had very little storage space available on my computer.

I've followed the instructions from elsewhere in this forum and have uploaded my file to the FTP folder as "Leafs ehalt.lg.zip" and would be grateful if someone could take a look. Thanks.

Badly corrupted, most of the files are empty. What most likely happened is that it ran out of storage space while partway through a save. Have a look in the save folders of the other saves you're trying to load; if they have multiple files with a size of 0 KB, the same thing has happened to them.

One of the backup folders (rs_two) for this save does have intact files, but oddly it's missing one critical file, players.dat, which holds most of the player data and is needed for the save to load. So in this case, unfortunately, it looks like the save isn't recoverable.

That would fit with what was happening when it crashed, so that makes sense. That's unfortunate. Is there any chance that copying a players.dat file from a slightly older save into rs_two will do anything?

Nothing to lose by trying it, but I would expect to see some very odd results because the stat, ratings, etc. data is going to be off from the timeframe of the save. Might eventually get back to normal within a season or two; might also just lead to a crash if the problems are bad enough.

I'm not optimistic, either, but I'll give it a shot. Is there a way to launch the save and force it to look at the backup rs_two folder? I tried copying players.dat into there and launching normally, but that didn't seem to make any difference, though I assume that's because I don't know how to use the backup folder.
