Icing in 2D mode

The number of icings is absurd. You even see teams ice the puck multiple times in a row as if they are on a PK or playing 5 on 6 as opposed to carrying the puck out of the zone, or clearing it off the boards. What exacerbates the issue is that the puck seems to pass right through players who could potentially retrieve it. It feels as if they have legs but no stick to play the puck.

i don't see an unusual amount of icing. do you see the strategies for your team, especially on a line per line basis?

I don't have any control over the AI icing the puck.

So, just to be clear: you don't think any of the tactics has any effect whatsoever on icing the puck, in the game?
