Career Stats in an Association?

I have a four-league Promotion/Relegation setup, and am looking for a way to see career stats across leagues. These are visible on individual player pages, but I can't figure out a way to see those in aggregate - so, for example, I can see who has the most hits in one particular league, but not who has the most hits combined over all four, if a player has moved between leagues in their career. Is there a way to see this in-game?

It can be done via the GAME>ASSOCIATION>SORTABLE STATS option, setting the scope accordingly if needs be.

But you're right, there's a glaring hole - one of so many that I had to stop my PRO/REL league because it just wasn't enjoyable for me - in this area, namelt you can't see career and season leaderboards across the Association as you can for each level, and only the player stats for each specific level are included.

I agree, that's a big issue - I have a pro-rel league setup I like a lot, but there are many little things like that which make it difficult. Still, that's one more off my list, so thanks for the tip!

I really wish you could see post-season stats for association playoffs. It is such a cool play style that just needs a few tweaks to be great.

Just say no association playoffs and then do a tournament every year. It will keep track.

That is a great idea. I'm going to give it a try. Thanks!

Back again on this. I've realized, as I've tried to utilize the Sortable Association Stats, that I'm missing a lot of players from it. They still exist in-game, I can see their full stats pages, histories, whole shebang. But not matter what I try on the Association page I cannot get their stats to show up at all. For example, the long-time steals leader in league history is nowhere to be found when sorting for steals. Does anyone have experience with something like this? Is it a known quantity or am I missing something or what? I would really like a more certain leaders list but can't generate it like this (and I'd rather not have to download the stats and put it all together myself...) Thanks for any thoughts...

EDIT: For illustration purposes, Image 1 is the current SB leaderboard. It's already bizarre, because of that gigantic gap between #1 and #2, which I know is incorrect. The second is the player page for Dennis Sokol, who swiped 722 over his career and isn't anywhere. You can also see that I enabled the Retired? column, and a suspiciously large number on that career list is made up of active players. I could show you similar issues for other stats.

Looks to me like you've left a filter on?

Nope. That would be the simplest explanation, but I've cleared them completely. That screenshot may have been when I was playing around with specifically looking up players whose Retired status was yes OR those whose status was No, to see if that did anything, but it's the same as no filters.

I wonder if there's some kind of limit on Association player lists? 1500 is a suspiciously round number.

By way of comparison, here's what happens when I run a "List all Players" from one of my associated leagues. This includes what appears to be the actual list, including Sokol (who only played in Division 1). Interestingly, this appears to include all stats regardless of league in each player's total, so I suppose I can just export these with a reasonable filter on PAs or IPs, then merge and de-dupe, but that's... annoying and there should be an easier way.

Try it again in the Association one but set scope to "ALL Levels" and see what happens?

Scrub that, I've figured it out - the Association one only considers ACTIVE players.

I think this issue might have been fixed, because in my fictional universe game I have two "major" 1800s leagues: one based in the northeast and one in the midwest that was created later. I set the two up in an association and the stats from the Association Playoff series show up in player profiles.

The top line is for this player's own league's championship series, and the bottom line is for the series against the team from the other league. I don't know why the level names don't show up properly - the league name abbreviations are showing up instead.

Ohhhh, this is correct. When I had the "Retired" players filter active it was returning players so I thought it could, but I just went back and checked and all the players it showed had retired in the season that had immediately ended, so were probably still considered active.

So, the workaround I've used (perfectly, it appears - see my thread about this league where I reference a lot of career stats across my leagues) is to run a "show all players in [league]" search including retired players, which actually shows the full career line but only of players who have ever played in that league. I do that for all four of my leagues and combine into one spreadsheet (minimum PA and IP set so as not to return a billion players) and then dedupe. Since each league's returns show full career stats, I lose nothing on dedupes and have a functional spreadsheet. It's certainly more of a pain than if the game had a reasonable way to do this, but it's better than nothing.
