2022 St. Louis Spirits of the North American Baseball League
I've decided on my next endeavor.
The St. Louis Spirits of the North American Baseball League.
After replaying the 1973 St. Louis Cardinals season -- I improved the team from an 81-81 finish to 82-80, but still not good enough to make the playoffs, I am returning to the realm of a fantasy draft league.
I tried using fictional players, but it just didn't capture my interest, so I have gone back to using the 2022 player data base.
It features 20 teams -- down from 24 for my Mississippi Baseball League, which featured the St. Louis River Walkers -- with two leagues of 10 and four divisions of five.
There is 162-game schedule featuring interleague play.
There will be no designated hitter. No rule mandating how many batters a reliever must face.
The Spirits will play their games at Sportsman's Park (1954).
