Playoff seeding.

So this season in my fictional league after all regular season games have been played there are 5 teams tied for the last 2 playoff spots. Can anyone break down how the game is likely to setup games for those 5 teams to see who is getting in and who isn't?

Well I didn't know how the game was going to work it out and I gotta say I'm disappointed how it did. So Corner Brook played Bedford and lost and Montreal played Fredericton and won. Ottawa who also had the same record as the other 4 teams did not even get to play and thus was eliminated. So Bedford and Montreal got the last two playoff spots. So Ottawa got totally screwed in this scenario.

I would have preferred that Corner Brook just gets in by default since they were the top team then Montreal played Ottawa and Fredericton played Bedford. The losers of those two games are eliminated then the winners of those two games play for the final playoff spot. I'm not expecting to ever see this scenario again, thankfully.
