Complete Transaction Log Loop

When I try to open the Complete Transaction Log, it says the log is too long to dispay on in game browser and automatically opens up my external browser, which is able to show me the Complete Transaction Log.

However, when I try going back to my game, it gives me the same message that the log is too long and opens up another window on my external browser and the loop continues.

The only way I can get out of the loop is by exiting my game from task manager.

Found an old thread on this:

How are you going back to your game?

Are you just closing the browser window and the game isn't there?

Are you using the Alt/Tab key combo to go back and forth between the 2?

Are you using full screen or windowed?

I'm asking these questions assuming you're on a PC. If not, please disregard.

I'm on a PC full window using Alt/Tab, the game is still running, immediately when I go back to the game it opens another browser tab, giving me no time to click on anything in the game. I have to force the end task to end the game.

Ok, I tested this in Windowed and I don't have the loop problem but I prefer a full screen.

Have you tried using alt/enter to temporarily leave full screen? Then open the report, close it, alt/enter back to full screen.

Alternatively, press the "window" key on your keyboard to leave full screen.

If that doesn't work, I'm out of suggestions.

Like you, I prefer full screen too, however have not run into this particular problem.

Sorry can't be of more help.

It happens in June when the amateur draft takes place and there are too many players/transactions that took place, so for the entire month it refers you to the browser.

This subject rang a bell so I looked back at my posts. I had this in Nov of 2021 with the "injury report" and posted it in the bug thread. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=333367

I see the linked post you linked is from 2017.

I never got a response to my thread but, after I reported it I didn't have the issue again. I assumed it was fixed and included in the "fixed many other issues" in the patch list.

In my case, like yours, the only out was task manager. I also play full screen but I use the window button to move back and forth. I have not seen the issue again in either v22 or v23 with full screen. Is that because I use the window button and not alt\tab? IDK.

I did just check this in my game with the injury log (much bigger list covering 3 years of injuries) and it opened in my browser straight away. IE no "log is too big" message. So, no issue going back and forth for me.

You should drop it in the bug forum.
