Live start in offseason?

I tried starting a new standard game with live start, hoping to pick things up in the current offseason and develop the game going into 2023 with a couple of expansion teams. The new league shows me the results of the 2022 playoffs, but it keeps telling me the playoffs have just begun. When I try to auto-play until the end of the playoffs, it just seemingly goes on non-stop.

Is there any way to live start in the offseason, or do I have to go back to the end of the regular season and auto-play the playoffs in their entirety?

Hey, yeah, this is annoying haha!

I figured there'd be a way to put the arb hearings and the start of free agency on the calendar manually, but striking out on that.

Due to an issue with minor league playoff formats, the live start will run through a bracket in those leagues before advancing to the off-season. You can either edit the minor league playoff schedules to disable or shorten them up, or else the MLB off-season will begin for real a couple in-game weeks after you start a live start.
