Remove Draft?

Hello all,
.
If I start a fictional league and don't want to have a draft, how do new players come into the league?
.
My goal is to have all new players come into creation as free agents, with all teams able to sign them at their choosing. Is this possible? Has anyone tried this before? Does it work long term over the course of sim seasons?

Disable draft and you get this.

Thank you very much. A quick follow-up question ... with the draft disabled, do new players just appear on your minor league rosters, or is every new player a free agent and open to be bid on by any team?

Every new player will be a free agent. I believe they will populate on a specific date each offseason.
