League Placement

I apologize if there is a better place to ask my question, this is my first time in the forum. I feel like I got placed in a league that is way too advanced for my team. For example, I have two players rated over 90 as where most of the teams in my league have entire teams made up of guys rated 90-100. Is there somewhere I can read and understand how placement works and what I can do to steer myself into a league I can actually be competitive in?

Thank you!

League placement is based on how your team finishes the season. For example, in many leagues this week, only the top 4 teams based on playoff finish (basically, making the League Championship Series) move on up to the next level, while, for example, the bottom 6 teams of each league this week move down to the next level down. This promotion/relegation information can also be found in the "Universe" tab of the game.

As far as which league at the level you get placed at is, it is based on what your League Placement settings are, which can be found in the Profile and Settings tab of the game. There are three options, Random, which puts you in a random league at the level, Use Friends List, which allows placement based on the mutual friends list you have in-game (which both sides would need to accomplish to make work), and Stay Put, which keeps you at the same league number in your current level only if you don't get promoted or relegated. (For what it's worth, league numbers don't mean anything other than it being the league's name; there's no "higher the number, the better the competition" thing.)

Thank you! I think maybe I over managed a team that wasn't ready to move on.
