Auction House Price Manipulation

Where does one go to report it?

How would one manipulate prices? Intentionally selling cheap to a second account? Or a friend?

Intentionally selling at 10x prices to inflate the L10.

Only works if someone actually buys it, though.

Chances are it's a card left over from whale night when everyone tries to get 40x L10 for a historical iron that is in the new hot mission, then most people start undercutting that and by the time you wake up, it's back down to a lower price than it was before it was in the mission... and then there are the ones put up and left at the rush prices that never get looked at again.

Sadly it isn’t. The items in question are in the Boggs diamond mission.

Point still holds that the L10 isn't affected until someone actually pays that amount for a card.

If there's a card that has an L10 of 10,000, and I list it for 69,420 or 69,420,000, no one has to buy it.

And if I do manage to sell the card for 69,420, that will take that L10 from 10k all the way up to 15,942.

There are people who have 2 accounts and shuffle money around by overpaying on random cards. That may not be what's happening in this case, but you see it a lot after the game's live cycle ends. Before they shut down OOTP22, there was a ton of it going on and it was very noticeable because the AH was so dead.

Some of those cards got added to the most recent Cooperstown Club Missions... So they're going to go up.

I know about those. The ones I'm referring to didn't. It's a point worth mentioning, as I'm not infallible...despite my protestations to the contrary.

As someone completely without flaw I have no idea what you're talking about!

There is definitely something weird where random non-live iron cards will have 10K L10 price; goes for live cards a lot, too, especially the golds and diamonds. They'll have a L10 nowhere near the possible actual L10.

Pete Fairbanks is an example that just happened. He's back to 1431 L10, but he was at 8K L10 two days ago, as a live gold rated 81. No way that actually happened - so it's either a weird glitch, or someone trying to game the system somehow (I just can't figure out how, really).

Or Doug DeCinces 94 being sold at 100k+? It's a 25k card. Either guys are selling to themselves to inflate the pice because they've got a stash or they're funneling points...IMHFO.

Supply, meet demand. Demand, this is supply.

Ah, the simple wisdom of cliches.

As consumers, we pay when people inflate the prices artificially. We need to be mindful of it, and I still don't see an official word on who to report suspicions to. That's all I want to know. I don't care who's doing it...I'm not looking to pillory anyone. I'm just looking for an answer to my initial question. Can you provide it, or not?

You can always go into the main discord and DM one of the support guys. I've done that when I've seen actual cheating attempts going on.

But someone listing a card at any price over the QS price is not cheating. Doesn't matter if it's a diamond for 4,001; 40,001; 400,001; 4,000,001 or 400,000,001

You do NOT need to buy it at that price. Put up what you think is a reasonable buy request. If someone with that card agrees, they sell it to you. If no one sells it to you at your price, your price is too low.

You're seeing bigfoot in Loch Ness here. Or maybe you're seeing Nessie in the Appalachians.

As I've reiterated to no avail, I'm not talking about a few points one way or the other from the L10. I'm talking about (for example) the Billy Rogell listed for 300k with a last 10 of about 4k. That's either a fairly significant error, or an attempt to influence or funnel. Nobody is going to pay 75x the price of a card to get a Historic Pack.

I am not a denizen of Discord...perhaps that's why I didn't reach that point myself...but thank you for answering my question. That's all I wanted in the first place.

As for what I see, that's bet left unexplored. The things I've seen...

The moderation team is usually on top of any suspicious transactions. If it's just cards posted for ridiculous values, that's nothing to worry about. If people are doing transactions to funnel, they are usually caught faster than it would take someone else to report.

If you do have concerns, you can PM Nicolino and he can pass along the information to the moderation team.
