Does a DtD "Influence Running" Injury Affect Fielding?

Specifically, if a middle infielder has a DtD strained hamstring (moderately influences running), am I putting him at risk having him play if I don't allow him to steal bases? I want him to play for his defense and a situational bat, but not at the risk of injuring him.

Can't answer if it affects fielding, but anytime you play an injured player you risk further injury.
