I am curious when the game is coming out too...and when OOTP was sold, did that mean more programmers work on this game too? Any chance we see big movement in the 2D space? That would make this game awesome for me. I like to see the 2D similar EastSide Hockey Manager and paired with with FHM's mgmt piece. That would be the perfect combo for me.

I'd guess a release date announcement next week. That screenshot looks like the Steam interface, so they might be getting the game ready for Steam pre-orders.

Did you play more than 100 seasons in one game? Then you will understand.

Until 2080 it was ok, but then my 8 years old PC was "too old" for this.

I realize the announcement will probably coincide with the season starting here in a couple weeks but man I am itching to play. It's the only NHL game that is released on the PC... I wish this other one was but the developer of that game does not feel they make enough money to make a PC version - greed sucks. Anyway cant wait for the FHM9 announcement so I can play the crap out of it.

what's with all the secrecy about the release of v9? the season starts next week, shouldn't the game be coming at by then? i'm ready to spend my $$$ on the new release, just itching for the download option to be available

This is literally how it is every year. Jeff has also explained there's been some delays on some things, and we're not quite ready to talk about things yet.

When we do, we will be able to talk in great detail, but that time is not yet. Stay tuned.

I'm optimistically hoping for some hard info next week during the usual stream, since it would be nice synergy to coincide with the start of the season (minus Sharks/Predators tomorrow, but don't even get me started on how weird starting the season on a Friday is). That would be a bit faster than last year's basic schedule (Reveal 19.10, release 26.10).

Hopefully we get a super short window between the reveal and the release again!
