1963 Topps

Here is a 1963 Topps set that I finally finished. In addition to the default cards, it includes all-star, MVP, Cy Young, Rookie & Gold Glove cards. Those ones are based on the Rookie Stars/Batting Leaders, etc. cards that featured disembodied player heads and bold colors.

I should also mention that these can be used for any year, not just 1963.

Here are the links (in case one doesn't work):

Zip file: 1963 Topps-v3

7z file: 1963 Topps-v3

Here are some samples:

Checks out great. Real nice.

Thanks, Zappa1!

Unfortunately, I noticed I made a mistake on the default card backs.

It should say "Complete Major League Batting/Pitching Record".

I'll fix that just as soon as I can.

Reds1, which of your sets would you recommend to replace the default OOTP set? I want something that looks good across of eras. I do mostly play 2022+ RD/fictional.

Admittedly, all of my sets are historical, but I created some sets a few years ago based on actual Winnipeg Goldeyes baseball cards. I'm partial to the 2014 set, as I really like that layout. But again, the original set didn't come with any all-star award cards, so everything looks a lot like the base card. Not much variety in those sets to really make them suitable for replacing OOTP's set, I'm afraid.

But fhomess has a couple of really nice fictional sets that I like that could work: 1991 and 2009.

Added to my repository. I also spent an hour trying to figure out how to make the little picture in the circle black and white... I thought we had a setting to dictate the FaceGen color mode on a picture tag, but I guess not?

Hi fhomess - thanks for doing this!

I reviewed BMW's card template (for OOTP11) and couldn't find any tag option listed for controlling the color mode of facegen within a xml file. It seems to be dictated only by whatever the facegen color mode is set at within OOTP.

I doubt anything has changed over the past 12 versions of OOTP.

There have been some changes/additions to the tags and attributes over the years. All the ones I know about are documented on my site. I had it in my head that we had an attribute for this, but it wasn't there, so I think it's still just the league setting.
