stirrups and socks

Hello,

I'm new to the forums, but I am a long time OOTP player. Anyway, I wanted to share what I have been working on since I purchased OOTP 23. I am an old school baseball fan and I grew up watching players wearing stirrups. When I found out this year's version would allow the users create uniforms with different jerseys and pants, I was excited. The only issue with the pants is that the game's player model was modeled after the current players who wear long baggy pants.

In the photos below are some of my examples. I was able to edit the game files with the different textures. I am able to create players with high socks, low stirrups and stirrups with logos on them. I am hoping to create some interest for users who want to create old style uniforms (i.e. 1930's, 40's and 50's) with the high socks/stirrups. I know only one person in the OOTP forums who created socks and stirrups on the pants.

Yes, stirrups and sox would be great... but that is easy for me to say... I'm not the one who would have to take all the time to do it.

No graphic skills whatsoever.

Still, I would be more than happy to use them.

thanks for trying this RonCey.

Another problem besides the existing player model is that when one assigns things like pants to a team the screen showing the player (like your Dodger) cannot be rotated. I wish it could be rotated as trying to get the stirrups properly placed and sized seems to require quite a bit of trial and error. I like to add a black section at the bottom of the pants template to blend in with black shoes as otherwise the pants on a model almost seem to touch the ground (like your Dodger).

Today I posted yet another variation of historical pants with stirrups and sanitary socks. Unlike my 1955 pants, my "new and improved" 1961 pants are bit longer below the knee along with a good number of tweaks around the shoes, stirrups, and sanitary stockings after scores of feedback from manual games.

Check my 1955 pants thread for my new mediafire link to download my 1961 pants. It has a YouTube video of a 1961 game showing off the new look.
