Far too early countdown

PT22 will end September 30th. This is about 7 to 8 months earlier than other versions. This leaves only nine weeks(seasons) till the end.

So spend that PP when you got it!

We have just over a month left. Sunday night I will be selling off one of my teams. This team is strong Silver contender. Prices will be slashed well below L10.

Gregg Maddox already in AH for low price.

Started buying Perfect packs to use up PP. Pulled a Ty Cobb with just 3 days left!

Wow. Honestly glad I'm not buying this product anymore. They're just gonna cut off the server sooner than before next year, too. It'll be 2024 starts, 2023 ends, suck it up buttercups! Heck, if we're lucky, they may even just cut it off after the postseason ends. Just sayin', other game franchises do better with lower budgets than the "#1 most popular baseball simulator franchise". Honestly, I've been debating picking up '23 cuz of a lot of the features it added to the normal sim, but no, I'll pass. They need to make the game WAY better before I consider buying another one, their philosophy around PT has completely ruined my impressions of this company. They may as well just call themselves EA Lite.

As of right now, we are not anticipating this same thing to happen in Perfect Team 23. This was an exceptional, one-time occurrence, and we don't anticipate anything else like this happening for the foreseeable future.

You definitely should have made this announcement INSIDE the game. First I heard of this problem at all was today when it showed next sim in 400+ days. Came to this forum to find out why it happened prematurely.

Seriously, in-game should be the FIRST line of communication about the game. Not make players come hunt for details.

This company is trying to maintain its indie respect and values but becoming more anti consumer at the same time.

First corporate [snipped] decision was going from a 2-3 year dev cycle to a 1 year cycle. Then the MLBPA licensing. Then the money-grab microtransactions started. Now they are cutting off features/ability to buy old games altogether.

Why can't we have ANY sports games in the market built for a hardcore niche that doesn't try to become mainstream hogwash?

Why can't millions in profit be enough why does every game like this that has some success turn into a money grub company that wants to take over the world?

What are you talking about 2-3 year dev cycle? it has always been 1 year.

Ahh, Perfect team. Right. It looks like they shut down the servers early?

I was trying for the past 6 months or so to complete as many missions as I could. I think I ended up with 342 left lol

i double checked and you are right the games have always been on a 1 year cycle. For some reason I thought some years were skipped inbetween some of the earlier/initial OOTP products.

I'm more curious in the timing of when you all knew about this shutdown, given how it was sprung on the community suddenly despite perfect point purchases being shut down months ago.
