Hey everyone! The American Baseball Association just finished up their 14th season and we are in the midst of the off-season! The league has been running for about 5 years now in real life. For our 15th season, we have an opening for the Daytona Beach Bears! This was an expansion team in the 2005 season and hasn't had the stability that they need to get them on the right track. The team is a fairly young team so with some good fortune in development they could potentially turn it around. They have made the playoffs once in the franchise history, but have not had a winning record in a season yet.

During the regular season we sim Monday-Friday with a sim length of 4 days per sim. In the off-season we do daily sims at the same pace. We encourage bidding wars in free agency to help drive a more natural market.

We are about to enter the 2014 season but financials are set at 1964 year so it's a little bit different than normal leagues. We actually voted to remove owner control of budgets which means your profit/loss will have a direct corelation to the budget you have available to you.

Here is a small run-down on the team itself:
Daytona Beach is coming off of a 73-89 season where the team, and it's the 3rd time in franchise history that the team has eclipsed the 70 win mark. The team did lose a handful of decent prospects in the Rule 5 draft, but the system still has some decent talent near the top that could be very impactful to the big league club.

Once you take over the club you'll be able to re-brand/re-locate your minor league teams however you'd like. However, the ML club will not be able to be relocated/re-branded until the 2014 season is completed.

Overall the league is very laid back, we don't have an export requirement, but we do of course ask that you are exporting fairly regularly, or if you'll be away for any extended amount of time to just let me know so I'll know what's going on. It's a great league for any experienced GM, or for someone that's brand new to online leagues. We have a wide array of experiences in the league and all are happy to help out along the way.
