Important: This patch is only for OOTP 23 versions which were purchased directly from us or resellers who use our version. It is also available via the Steam client with the public password below.
It is NOT compatible with the Mac OSX AppStore or Epic version! Hi everybody! We have worked hard on the game and are nearing the next major patch release, so here is a new public beta, version 23.5.68. Use this at your own risk! Please back up important league files before loading them in this beta. This patch is compatible with the previous patch for online leagues - exports will work between versions, however both clients and the commish need to update to benefit from the online league fixes. Changelist (23.5.68): Updated quickstart rosters and ratings (need to start new game for changes to apply) Updated to new FaceGen version (3.T.1) Fixed Mac no-detail face texture bug with new FaceGen Rendering performance improvements on the 3D game screen Fixed scouting graphs scaling Added new division standings graph widget (based on games +/- 500) Fixed Mac crash when facegen file couldn’t be loaded Fixed career batter WAR in player lists Fixed Magic Number/clinch calculations when lower teams have more games remaining Fixed live start draftable players bug with other leagues enabled Adjusted player creation Players should begin with more experience at primary positions Adjusted minimum fielding ratings for created players Adjusted some offensive balance on created players Added new facegens (Especially for the KBO) Adjusted catcher defensive ZR to better balance runners thrown out stats Adjusted SB balance with higher SB modifiers (top SB players should be less likely to be 90%+ SB rate in modern game) Slight adjustment to SB attempt rate when playing out games Added league “Framing Balance” variable to adjust how +/- the league framing rates end up. It gets automatically set when running auto-calc. Modern game likely should be between 1.0 - 1.3. Fixed crash in 3D game when using real photos Fixed Team Sortable Stats defensive efficiency (now outputs the team value similar to team fielding stats page) Fixed 2D Day/Night coordinate issues Fixed some issues relating to deleting news messages Fixed Staff Cohesion Owner Goal Fixed stuff values when exporting roster/importing rosters Updates to Historical Lineups/Historical Transactions handling: - Added search in league historical transactions - If using historical lineups, players will be moved to teams where they are in the lineup. Historical Transactions will also more aggressively find players to process transactions on (ie. if transaction is “return from injured list” but player is not on correct team, will be moved to correct team and activated) - Team “Daily Lineups” page will now display historical lineup PT: Fixed hang when experiencing card server errors PT: Fixed some issues with back button not working properly on Card Shop PT: Fixed arm slot value in export from card shop PT: added Buy/Sell info to my card orders page PT: added BABIP to manage cards screen PT: added button to refresh Perfect Draft state if it gets stuck. Note: In some cases, the previous picks may not appear on the current roster after refreshing. You may need to log out and log back in for them to appear. PT: Eased tanking check PT: Tournament Rankings Leaderboards screen implemented PT: Export CSV from card shop now writes to data/online_data PT: Rendering performance improvements on particle systems on PT unpack screen Several other small bug fixes How to access the beta on Steam:

Did they update the DSL teams? I know the Cardinals in the game have 2 DSL teams but in real life just have 1

I can update player by player by selecting "Regenerate same picture" from the Editor tab (Picture functions...) on the player page. Is there a global function for this? I tried "Update/generate all player pictures" from the Game Settings > Players & Facegen page. That didn't seem to work.

As much as I deal with facegens, I generally avoid those buttons because I want blanks instead of fictional facegens in my game when there is no file found - but just underneath the option you are talking about is a "Force Update" button that might do it.

I think I found a visual bug. When I click "Customize Playoffs" the screen changes colors but the pop up window does not show up. When I roll back to the previous update, the pop up window shows up fine.

Just wanted to take a moment and say thank you for the team's hard work on the game - $35.99 for this product and the continued attention and effort throughout the year remains the best deal in the sports game universe. Kudos to all of you!

Basically, we worked a lot on fictional player creation and how players develop/age. So that when you simulate 30 years, the player ratings should resemble ratings of the initial player pool more closely.

I've altered the PCMs much more than prior years to better approximate 2022 skill rating (e.g., batting contact=1.2, gap=0.82, power=1.12, avoid K=0.6). Do you suggest reverting these closer to 1.0? I can imagine that if the new player creation settings are trying to do what my PCM adjustments were attempting, I'll overshoot significantly if I don't revert. |
