This should not be possible.

ed: given the "2-4" indication, this would also rule out a throw by 1st to the catcher as a pickoff attempt. a pickoff attempt throw to second makes zero sense (w/ no rundown, no less).

and speaking of stolen bases,

the search by catcher throw-out rate isn't such a great thing to look at anymore, since on the surface it's a good 10% or so better than it was weeks ago, prior to the introduction of "Cool Papa Bell". This is in a diamond league, for leagues where 3/4ths of the teams don't have "Cool Papa Bell", possibly pulling up catcher RTO is better, but ..

(oh, should probably mention CJ Abrams throwing ratings, as well ... I don't have either, so I don't want to steal bases, given the unnatural throw-out rate, so pls fix..

& do stoppers not ignore the % fatigue to rest at still? lol)

I've seen one other "caught stealing" with my settings universally set to zero hit & run attempts, and zero stealing attempts.

I noticed it for a second time a few minutes ago and checked the log and this one was slightly different (will include in image)

It clearly states that it was a pick-off attempt that resulted in the "CS"

this would not actually be a caught stealing. "Similarly, a runner who is picked off while diving back to a base has not been "caught stealing" because he never attempted to steal in the first place."

also, again, should consider rectifying the situation w/ the stealing rate being abysmally low. possibly the metrics are thrown off by cool papa jones and the like, if it was deemed "fixed" in the recent past.

I believe in the above cases, there are sometimes that players may run on the pitch in a full count - that play also factors in baserunning strategies. A pickoff doesn't always result in being credited with a CS, but if the player makes a move to the next base, that can be charged that way. I believe the game assigns those somewhat randomly - those are cases where the player leans one way and it's up to the official scorer how to credit the play.
