Changing Roster

Someone please tell me why I can not change players in my roster and keep the roster intact throughout a game? I just change 2 Gold players For 2 Gold players in my pitching staff. The players I put on reserve had the (14) behind their name meaning can't go back in for 14 days...Wrong, because but players I changed out got taken out on pitching staff and replace with the same players I had taken out. It's really affecting my games. HELP somebody.


This is getting to be pretty bad. Why rolled out a product that is not ready for primetime? OTTP 23 is not ready for primetime at all. Help is even worse

I have the same problem with 2 of my teams. They have been taken over by the AI

When you download the sim game results, your old roster overwrites the one you changed.


You have two choices - one, be careful to avoid this, or two, if you are in this window, don't download the sim game but immediately log out and log back in.

So now in this version I have to log in & out to keep my roster like I want them. They must have started it this year because my problem hasn't happened until this version. For me if players on roster are tired I eithe rhave to roll with them or make a completely new lineup whether it's for one tired player or 5. This shouldn't be like this. In other post I've sent screenshots & I had one person from OOTP attention for about 2 minutes then they disappeared ever since. I just deleted 17 different roster at ALL-Star game break. Don't matter what I do I can make subs where you suppose to make subs without creating more lineups

Today one of my F2P rosters made it's own changes, benching 4 players to reserve roster, despite having Roster Moves set to myself in the Team Control Settings.
Reliever with 0.00 era in 33 innings,
Starting 2b who was just an all star
Starting 1b
Another reliever
All with 14 game timeouts now

I'm still going through same BS since beginning even after OOTP staff seen my issue but just blew it off I guess as far as I know. Hadn't heard anything since this morning.

Check the profile page to see if reserve roster management is controlled by the AI.
It was on my tournament teams.
I changed it and submitted the team, logged out, logged back in and it was back to AI control. When I changed it and exported the roster that is when it stayed set to my control.

My theme team keeps having players replaced. Super annoying. And I have nothing set to AI control

There was (or is) a bug in OOTP 23 where you can deactivate a player that's currently on your roster (rather than transferring to the reserve list) and then re-activate them and it doesn't apply the 14 day waiting period

I dunno if it's fixed yet
