Manager of the year

Anyone know what the algorithm for selecting manager of the year is? Seems 90%(I made this up) of the time it just goes to the most wins. Think the preseason projections should play a role in which manager gets the most out of his team

Wish we could vote on it like we do for other awards. I would give it to the most improved. There no way I should have won it in the AL this year. it should have gone to the team that was predicted to be 12 games under. 500 and won 87.

There’s the quote that keeps popping up about getting the most out of the 25 players, rather than winning the most games. I agree with that.
