Some Logos, Caps and Jerseys

For many years, I've simulated a hypothetical nationwide independent baseball league, the North American League. I often found, though, that I loved a logo, but not the city, or wanted a team in a certain city but didn't like any of the options available. So, over the years, I've taken to modifying logos and generating uniforms as necessary. Here are some of them. In many cases, the caps and uniforms are otherwise available on the forum, so I won't repost those here unless requested. I also only play older versions of OOTP, so I only create a single cap/jersey per team.

I'll start with one that I finally recreated to my satisfaction: the Atlantic City Surf.

UPDATE: Upon request, and because I really like working on creating uniforms, I'm going to start posting some away jerseys as they become available. I will place these with their respective home jerseys.

I couldn't find a team from Allentown that I liked, and don't care much for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, so I re-purposed the Cleburne Railroaders.

I wanted a team in the Houston area, but really do not like the Sugar Land Skeeters. I was inspired to this logo from a youth team in the Houston area, using one of the city's nicknames: The Bayou City. The cap/jersey I use is the Bowie Baysox

UPDATE: I've created a road jersey, so I'm collecting a complete set for convenience.

There was a Central League team called the Jackson Senators, but I couldn't find a clear logo. So, I imagined my own, inspired in part by the Washington Senators and the Harrisburg Senators.

I'm not a huge fan of the San Diego Surf Dawgs logo, so I was inspired to this logo by the Newport Gulls of the New England Collegiate Baseball League and the San Diego Gulls minor league hockey team.

This logo and uniform were inspired by the NBA D-League team. I replaced the basketball with a baseball.

I love this logo, but really didn't like the length of the real team's name, the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. So, I shortened it. The cap and jerseys are used by the real team.

I really wanted a team in Albany, NY, but I didn't like the Tri-City ValleyCats, Albany-Colonie Diamond Dogs or Albany Dutchmen logos/uniforms. This logo is modified from the Temple Owls logo.

I didn't care for the Santa Fe Fuego logo, but loved the old Edinburg Roadrunners logo and uniforms, so I moved the latter to the former.

Because I'm a train guy, the wordmark is that of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe and now BNSF railroad.

I take it back: THIS is the best logo and uniform from a past team. This was my local team (I had season tickets), but they died a way-too-early death due to a crappy owner who wouldn't pay his players or employees.

During the last game I attended, the radio announcer resigned on the air. The game itself was almost not played, but Jose Canseco, player/manager for the opposition Yuma Scorpions, agreed to pay the team's salaries out of his own pocket.

Today, they live on in my league. (I think this cap is available elsewhere on the forum.)

Why on earth is the team named the Gary SOUTHSHORE RailCats? I get that they want to expand the region that can call the team their home team, but boy what an unmanageable name! The cap/jersey are available elsewhere on the forum.
