This is a standard league simmed for 50 years.


Closer 010C "010D" Smith was created for the 2022 first-year player draft. He had great stuff potential (90) with poor movement (30) and control (30). He worked hard and by 2028 was in the majors with ratings of 130/30/30. His stuff jumped to 170 in 2029. His ratings stayed about the same for the rest of his career.


After 43 years, he finally hung up his cleats. He retired as the MLB leader in saves (914), games (2114), H/9 (1.20), K/9 (25.7), WHIP (0.79), opponents triple-slash (0.043/0.238/0.126) and OPS (0.364).


So 2 problems here. First, the name and nickname. Looks like a hex number. A second 010C Smith was also created. That one was a catcher and never made it to the majors, so there is no history on his page.


Second, and the bigger (much bigger), problem is that he was created without a birth date. His player profile shows his age is 21 and never changes. This and his crazy stuff enabled his 43-year career. Really not sure why he retired.


I also have a player named TEST TESTMANN with no birth date. He has MLB stats, but they're from before 2022.
