Fictional Missing Players

I'm not even sure what info to provide here, but I recently used imported an old fictional FPS league I had into OOTP4, individually importing each player using the lahman database (set up with my FPS league stats).

Once that was done, I converted the league to OOTP5. I am now in OOTP and the ratings and general info exports show players that are NOT viewable from within the game. They are not on any rosters, they are not free agents (not retired, since I haven't played a game yet) and they do NOT show up in the "View All Players" option from the Advance League Set Up screen.

How can I get these players to show up? It doesn't seem the missing player problem that has been reported applies here... can someone help?
