Unsung Heroes

I've always wondered what makes a player an unsung hero. Some sort of explanation on the player screen would be really cool.

It is the lowest level of 'catch-all'. If there is nothing unique about that version of the player, he is an Unsung Hero. And the unsung part is often pointless since (while not singing) players such as Al Gionfriddo are all over YouTube.

Yes, but did he have a moment in the season that he did something heroic? Or was he just filling a roster spot for cheap thus making him and unsung hero

Apparently you don't know what 'unsung' means or what Al Gionfriddo did.

At one point I thought having a whole bunch of these in Iron and bronze tournaments would have won me something. But no. They aren't very useful LOL.
